We all have one, a notebook that we write down recipes we enjoy, stick in recipes cut out of the newspaper or magazines, a notebook or recipe book handed down through families. It may be the recipes are in your head, spoken through the generations. However your family recipes are stored, we all have them. This got me into thinking that I should really write mine up neatly so generations to come could actually read what I had written! Someone forwarded me a link where you print your own recipe book, what a great idea. My Mum then wrote up all the recipes from the Girl Guides World Centre in Switzerland, where she worked as the catering manager, collected them all into a book and sold them to visitors. The guests of ‘Our Chalet’ loved the food there and were always asking for the recipes.

What a great fundraising idea. With that in mind the profits from this book are all going to the Lullaby Trust, a charity that has been part of my family's life for 10 years, since the loss of our lovely son Ellis who sadly died at 4 days old from cot death.

The recipes in this book are worded as I have received them, the measurements have not been changed, and they are all the different versions. That is how my own handwritten book is and I am sure yours is too. I have put some notes in throughout, enclosed pictures where I have some and salivated throughout this whole process.

The book has 82 recipes, they are all family type recipes with the exception of 2, you will have to make up your own mind which 2 I mean! It is A4 in size with a coil spine. I went for a coil spine based on research with my cooking friends and how they like to use their cookery books.

Recipes included are from my lovely friends and family along with some other names you may know, Samantha Cameron, Chrissie Saunders (Slow Cooker Queen), Nicola Richardson of Alexanders Ball, Ed Balls MP, Ruth Clemens of The Pink Whisk, Danny the Baker of GBBO fame, Bownie Heaven, and lots of lovely people that I have never met before!
